Terms and Policies for Blogaholic Designs Custom Orders

The following terms and policies apply to all blog designs made by Blogaholic Designs for blogs or websites designed on the WordPress.org platform. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.
Deposits are due as soon as your design form is sent. If your deposit is not received your deign form will not be processed. If you e-mail us asking our next available design date please send over your design form and Deposit within 24 hours. Deposits are required to hold that design date. You have 24 hours from the time I quote you a design date to pay your deposit or your design start date is no longer valid and may be given to the next person inquiring about a design. DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. Once you pay your deposit you have 24 hours to withdrawal your design request as long as I have not started the design. After the 24 hr period your deposit is non-refundable. All items under $40.00 AND premade templates must be paid in full before the design process is started. There is no refund if you simply decide you no longer want the design. If design time takes longer than 6 weeks due to revisions a 2nd deposit will be requested to continue the design.
Please include all the extra information or files that I may need: url’s, images, etc…
- Once I receive your design form and deposit I will contact you within 72 hours (If I do not receive your deposit your order will be invalid and we will not be able to process your design form).
- We will then send you an estimated design start date
- The entire design process takes 8-14 business days. This is an estimated time frame and may take longer depending on revisions and e-mail response time
- A few days after we start your design we will send you a few design options via images, these options will have design header/background/layout to give you a feel for the design concept. Once you decide on an option we will move your design over to a live test blog where all other items will be added.
- Once we have agreed on the design we will send you a final invoice.
- Once invoice is paid we will install your new design on your blog.
Please respond to all e-mails as quickly as possible and check your e-mail often during the design process to avoid delays. If e-mails are delayed in a manner that extends the design process we will have to re-schedule your design if it ends up conflicting with out next design appointment.
Please note: Our business typically runs M-F if you have questions please expect a reply within 24 hours M-F.
I am willing to work with you and want you to be happy with your final product so please let me know if there are things you would like changed as soon as you see them. The earlier you see them the easier it is for me to fix them.There is a limit of 3 major revisions and 4 minor revisions on all blog packages. For smaller projects such as buttons, icons, etc… the allowed number of small revisions is 3. Any revisions after this will require a fee based on amount of work that needs to be done.
On final print items (logos, business cards, brochures, flyers, etc…. it is your responsibility to proof the final design and all spelling of business name, font, email addresses, website addresses, and business addresses before printing. I do not offer refunds for these errors.
On your final blog or website design as well as custom templates and premium custom templates I will place a button which credits your blog design to Blogaholic Designs and links back to my site (in a separate window). I will also place a small link crediting the digital scrapbook designer for their kit if applicable This information is to remain on your blog as long as your blog is active and published using my design. The button is made to fit into your design so that your blog is still adorable, I greatly appreciate you keeping it on your blog as long as you are using the design I created for you. If you remove the button then you must post a link in your sidebar or footer crediting Blogaholic Designs for the blog design and the kit designer for their designs. If credit is removed completely than the design I created also has to be removed completely. Thank you for understanding.
Digital Scrapbook Kits
iStock images may be used in place of a scrapbook kit or in addition to a scrapbook kit. The cost of images IS NOT included in any of my design packages. You will need to find the image you would like from iStock and purchase it or add the price to your design package and I will purchase it through my account. Images tend to run between $10.00 and $35.00.
If we install any plug-ins on your WordPress site it is your responsibility to maintain and update those plug-ins. If you install future plug-ins that are not compatible with the plug-ins we install it will be your responsibility to remove those plug-ins. If you no longer wish to use the plug-ins that we install it will be your responsibility to remove those plug-ins. If we install any security plug-ins on your website or blog we do not guarantee 100% safety due to the plug-ins we install- no site is full-proof we install these widgets as an aide to protecting your site and do not claim that you will never encounter security issues, we will not be responsible should there be a security breach.
Once we install Genesis on your blog or website it will be your responsibility to maintain and update Genesis should new versions and or updates be released. It is a good idea to always update when updates are available as it will help to keep your site safe. Additionally, it will be your responsibility to update all plug-ins should new updates be released. Maintenance of your blog or website is also your full responsibility unless you hire us for maintenance services. Any images used for design purposes will be stored on your web hosting via WordPress and are also your responsibility, we do not store or host images. While we take responsibility for all design aspects of your site during the design process we will not be responsible for any altercations to your design once it has been published including but not limited to design disruption due to: client editing of code, client adding plug-ins that interfere with design, client failure to back up website/blog. It will also be your full responsibility to back up your entire blog or website. If, for some reason, you were to lose your entire blog or website we would not be responsible for re-installing your design due to failure of back up. We do not keep a copy of your design code and therefor, would not be able to install your design again.
